Here are some local options for holiday revelers: Yelm The City of Yelm, along with the 133rd Army National Guard Band, will host the first annual “Brass on the Grass” event at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, at Yelm City Park. The concert will be performed on Yelm’s Centennial Stage. The 133rd Washington Army National Guard will bring two sections of its band, including The General’s 7, a traditional jazz band, and Brassquatch, a brass band. Roy The Lacamas Community Center will host Roy’s annual Fourth of July parade at noon on Friday, July 4, near the Roy Rodeo grounds. All parade participants are asked to meet at the Roy Rodeo grounds before 11:30 a.m., with the parade itself set to begin at noon. The parade route will cruise down Warren Street to First Street. A picnic will be held after the conclusion of the parade. Activities are expected to wrap up around 2 p.m. Eatonville The Eatonville Business Association will host a July 3 fireworks celebration in the field behind Eatonville Elementary and Eatonville Middle School, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Various food trucks will be present at the event, along with activities such as bounce houses, live entertainment and other vendors. Admission is $10, and people with their dogs will have the opportunity to take some “fun pictures” while they enjoy hot dogs and other frozen treats. Lacey The annual Lacey Fireworks Spectacular is set for Thursday, July 3, and features live entertainment, rides, face painting and, of course, a night of fireworks.
